Kate is of average size. Her body build is very petite, though. She is very skinny, though it isn't very obvious that she doesn't eat that much. She just looks naturally skinny. She does look kind of sickly, though. There are almost always dark circles under her eyes and she looks tired all the time. Her hair is long and thick. It is a dark brown with some red woven into it. Her eyes are a hazel brown and at times they looks sort of fogged over, like she isn't all there. She is also bone white all the time. Though when you look at her you really don't think that anything is wrong with her. After all her job does require her to either look bad a** or at least nothing like a cop, which she doesn't. Behind all of the bad stuff she is incredible beautiful as well, though, which also helps.
She wears mostly baggy shirt cloths. Nothing to nice or expensive or anything like that. But she does own quite a few nice designer cloths. When she needs to go into work, as an agent, she wear fairly nice dress cloths, but nothing to expensive. And she never wears a dress or skirt. You would never think her as either rich or a girly girl.

At first sight Kate is like any other girl. Quiet and out of the way. But at further examination she is quite blunt and over the top. Though she does not talk tht much when she does it is more straight forward. She doesn't try and tip-toe over people's feelings. She is also not your typical girl. She is able to take care of herself, and that's the way she likes it. If you give her a gun and place her in a danerous situation she would be happy. She isn't trigger happy, though, she knows how to take orders and only fire when she needs to. Though there has been a time or two that she acted out of line, always she was cleared because her job is a very high stress one that you can't always follow orders with out getting yourself, or someone else, killed.
Kathlen isn't the nicest person to be around, but she isn't all that bad of a person either. She really does care about other people, she just doesn't basically care about what people think about her. The only things she hids for people are the fact that she is a drug addict and that she has no family but has a butt loud of money. Years ago she would have seemed like a sweet rich, preppy kid, but now she doesn't talk but you know not to cross her paths.
Deep down she is broken, though. Almost every night when she is alone she cries herself to sleep. She mourns the deaths of her family and she curses the ones that killed them, swearing to get back at them for what the did to her. Because of her drug abuse she can have mood swings, some that might cause her to reveal this softer, more veranable side to her. The one thing you don't want to see is Kate on withdraw. She always needs her fix or she becomes the green monster.

Kate was born in Washington, D.C. to a rich Politian of a father. Her mother was a stay at home mom with two other children, Annalyn and Realin, twin sisters. The twins were a year and a half older than Kathlen, but the three of them got along like triplets. Her life was mostly uneventful for the first few years. Living in the capital of the country was stressful as much as it was fun. The three sisters enjoyed going to the memorals around the town as well as seeing the president and other famous politicians. They grew up and lived in a very large and had frequent parties. As a young girl Kate loved to get dressed up and play hostess to all the rich guests they would have.
Life went on in a happy fashion, never once did she think anything could go wrong. When she was thirteen years old her family took a trip to New York. It was a fine September day. When they went to the World trade center they had no idea what was could. Her father was there to do some business as the rest of the family went to see the buildings before they went out on the town for another fun filled day. The planes hit so fast that they didn't know what hit them. In a fog Kate got out of the falling twin towers, but somehow she was lucky and her family was not. For hours she looked through the other survivors looking for her family, nothing. It wasn't until a few days later that their bodies were found. All four of them were dead. And just like that Kate found herself an orphan.
All her family’s money and positions went to her. She didn't want them though. Custody of her went to her father's brother who lived in California. Kate sold her large house and put all the money in a savings account before moving to LA. The fun social girl withdrew into herself never really connecting to the Uncle she had rarely heard of before the day he became her guardian. In high school she first found her love of language taking French all years. It was one of the only things she excelled at. When Kate turned 18 she left the man's home forever, never looking back. She wanted to get away from it all so she went to a college up in Washington State. She knew what she wanted to do, she wanted to catch the men that had caused her families death. Cause her own death. In collage she expanded on her love her language taking college level French and eventually switching to Russian. She also began learning languages on the side such as Arabic and Pashto. By the time she graduated she had a two bachelors one in French and one in Russian. She was also fluent in Spanish and Arabic. Later after joining the FBI she became fluent in Pashto, Romaine, and sign language. She also had limited skills in Latin, Italian, and Persian. While in college she started to look for a way to forget. That's when she stumbled upon drugs. Before she knew it she was addicted to Heroin.
Somehow the drugy student got through school with mostly A's, maybe it was because the drugs was what she really needed. Then she worked to get into the FBI. She really didn't look like a drug addict so the only thing she had to do was get past the drug test, which somehow she managed to do. That being done she started her career of catching criminals. When she first started she was placed in the Organized Crime Unit and right away they realized her exceptional undercover skills. Since she had been placed in a deep cover in the Russian Mob. Her name being Kaitlin Checkov.

But this is the time and this is the place
And these are the signs that we must embrace
* * * * * * * *
Kate had been running around town all day. In twelve hours it seemed that she had not stopped moving for one second. She had gotten all the techies she could round up on the partial address they had gotten but she couldn’t help but think the one person that could have tracked down the Olympian’s hide out was Krys. And yet she was the one she they were racing to save. She hadn’t been able to save Matt but she was going to save Krys. But with each passing hour things started to go downhill. She had barged into about twenty places with the address 2412 A from A street to Avenue A but had found nothing. Maybe Matt had been wrong. Maybe she had miss interpreted his clue. What if it wasn’t an address at all? The thing was no one but Matt knew and there was no way he was going to be telling them. Not now. Not after she had failed to even notice something was wrong. If only she had prevented their covers from being blown. Or realized right when it happened. Not after the smug leader of the group came over the new. After he’d already killed Matt. She had let them down the one moment that they needed her the most.
It wasn’t until there was an hour left that she turned her sights off finding the head quarters and started focusing on the hospital that was going to be blown up. The FBI had already started evacuating the five largest hospitals. There was little else they could do though. It was clear that they would blow the place as soon as they got Robin there. They would not risk them disarming the bomb before they could set it off. After all they had one of his bombs already and though as far as Kate knew they had not yet cracked the secrets of it this Zeus was smart enough not to take chances. Of course that meant they had removed all none essential police presence from the suspected targets not wanting to risk their lives. Of course that meant that Krys’ life was being sacrificed for theirs. That meant It was up to Kate to save her if it came to it. She knew how to disarm bombs. She had the bomb squad tell her what they knew already. She was going to give it her best college try. The only thing was she had no idea what Hospital to go to. She could not be in five different places at once. Which meant she had to choose one she was going to go to. She could easily be to one of the locations in less than ten minutes yet the one she had a ‘feeling” about was 45 minutes away. She knew it was going to be cutting it close but everything that she had learned about the group told her that that was going to be the target. And she had to follow her gut. It would be better to race across town and not make it in time than to sit in the wrong place. She couldn’t risk it. Though she had less than a 10 percent chance of doing any good.
So with an hour left on their timer she began her drive across town. A small part of her was starting to question why she had not just killed the mayor. She didn’t care if she got caught and sent to jail at least it would have been a sure fire way to save Krys. Though, like she had decided ten hours ago, there was no way she was getting anywhere near the mayor. Her skills would be best put to use in trying to stop them legally. At least as legal as Kate could be. As she raced down the street she couldn’t help but start stressing with every passing hour. New York had not gone into panic but it was clear they were freaking out a bit more than a normal day as the already crowded roads were even more so. Kate flashed her lights and honked her horn even driving on the side walk and going to wrong way on a one way road a few times. But even then the minutes ticked by quicker and quicker. And before she knew it she had only ten minutes left. And the worst part was as she got closer and closer to the hospital the roads began to get more and more grid locked. And before she knew it she was at a complete stand still. That didn’t stop Kate Saunders though. As soon as she realized she was not getting anywhere with the car she ditched it getting out and running on foot. She was still a mile away though and had less than five minutes. That wasn’t going to stop her though. She ran. Ran faster than she had ever run before. Weaved through cars. Jumped over hoods. Nothing could stand in her way. But even her un wavering determination couldn’t help her. And soon the seconds were ticking by. She heard her watch beep once. Than again. Knew it was her timer ticking away the seconds. She didn’t stop though. Couldn’t she continued running a small part of her thinking that she could make it. Never giving up. A louder beep sounded followed by another one. The time was up.Beep she only ran faster. Beep She was still a quarter of a mile away. Beep She had to get there.
Fire exploded into the air. Kate felt the ground shake and in the next moment she felt the shock wave as even more fire and smoke rose to the sky. She felt herself fall to the ground from a mix of the shockwave and desecration. She was too late. She had failed. She watched as the hospital took to flame and ash. Her emotions coming out right there and then no stopped them. Tears rolled down her check and for an instant she let out a shrill cry. Then as if to shield herself from the world though no one’s eyes were on her- they all were watching the smoke billow to the sky- she wrapped her arms around her head and bent down to the ground curling into nothing more than a ball. She couldn’t save her. She couldn’t save any of them. She had failed. Just like she had failed ten years ago. She let them die just like she let her family. She took this job so she could stop that from happening yet when it mattered most she was unsuccessful. Not even close. The least she could have done was die in the explosion with Krys. Until she had done when that plane hit the tower. She had run away like a scared kid (Never mind the fact that she was one). She’d done the same thing today. She’d been too much of a kid- a failure- to do anything. Not even when she tried. She couldn’t even understand why she was here. Why had she been left to live her life if she couldn’t save them? She stayed unmoved like this for several minutes. She didn’t have the right to live after this. She just wished she could stay here forever. But she couldn’t and as she ran out of tears to cry she lifted her head. Her eyes focused on the smoking pile of rubble. For a moment she was thirteen years old watching in panic as the tower started to closapse. Then Moments later running through the rubble and people. Crying. Calling their names. “Mom? Dad? Analynn? Raelin?” No one answered. No one even say the small child all to worried about everything else. It wasn’t until nearly an hour later that they found the weeping child covered in ash and blood. Her ankle broken to the point they had no idea how she made it down nearly 80 flights of stairs.
The moment passed as quickly as it came and Kate was her 23 year old self again. And though she was still a failure to those that needed her she was strong. She had pushed everything down before. She went on. And she needed to do the same this time. She hadn’t saved them but she could save others. She wanted to die more now than she ever did but she knew in that moment that that meant she had to keep living. She would never get rid of the ghosts is she stopped now. She needed to make this up. Needed kill the man responsible. Needed save hundreds of more lives. Thousands. Before her life could be over. Only when she was at peace could she take her own life. It was just the same as before. This didn’t change the rules. Didn’t change the game or the player. She was still Kate Saunders.
And with that she stood not even bothering to wipe the tears from her face and started back to her car. She needed to carry on and find these terrorists and give them what they had coming to them. As most the people had fled the scene when the bomb went off she found her car free from its previous prison and started toward the court house. She didn’t know that the mayor had been killed yet. But she was smart enough to know that it had happened. It was the reason they blew up the hospital. And if there was anything that was going to bring these guys down it was going to be there. As she drove she wiped the tears from her face. She already looked like crap before this so there was no other indication of her breakdown- of which she was happy. She made it to the courthouse in under ten minutes and quickly forced her way through the crowd. She only stopped a second when she reached the tap flashing her badge without a word. She wasn’t here to socialize she was here to find what happened. The body had already been moved by now but the evidence of the Mayor’s massacre was clear on the pavement. Only one person had been killed here. Very precise. Not to mention the fact that the sniper had been able to avoid security. He was a pro that was clear. Yet there wasn’t much more to go by. She glanced across the way at the towering buildings. Anyone could have easily been his perch. And even if they found where he lay in wait there would be no evidence she was sure of that. She turned back to the scene her eyes falling on a group of agents and Temperance Evans. She wondered why the woman would be here- not like she gave a darn about anyone but herself. She didn’t exactly what to have anything to do with the woman so she turned the other way (Little did she know in doing so she was turning from one of the men that did this). Instead she found herself heading toward the building which she thought held the most promise to kill the mayor.
